Blue Ridge Mountain Elopement – Lacey and Neil 4.20.19

A special cake from the bakery where she works.  Her dad’s wedding band lovingly attached to her bouquet, so that he would be with her as she walked down the aisle.  Hand painted wedding shoes… every detail of Lacey and Neil’s elopement was created with love, and came together to create the most wonderful day!  We really enjoyed designing a special sweethearts table for them, and were sure to use both some lace and rustic wooden elements as requested…Lacey smiled when she saw it, and explained how perfect it was as her married name will be Lacey Wood <3  She explained to me via email that she really wanted to bring along her faithful companion of these last 11 years, her sweet dog Sulley.  True to Lacey’s assurances, Sulley was the goodest of good boys, and proudly wore a little sign that proclaimed “I loved her first”.   I spent much of the event thinking up ways to dog-nap Sulley and bring him home with me…but how could I break his mama’s heart!  I loved getting to know Neil and Lacey’s family, including her mom Jakki, who helped Lacey prepare, her grandparents and Neil’s children who had style galore!  This was a day where I went home and said to myself, what a good day, spent with good people <3  I am so excited to share a little sneak peek of some favorite moments from this gorgeous wedding day…

Lacey opted to provide her own wedding cake (a cheesecake!) from the bakery where she works!

Lacey was such a stunning bride!  Those eyes!!!

A sweet moment with a photo of her dad.

Congratulations to the happy couple from the entire GHI family!
