Cathy and John – Sweet and Simple Mountain Elopement 8.15.18

As I write this, Cathy and John are enjoying their mini honeymoon in a beautiful house by a lake, a house that John and his father built with their own hands and hard work. In just the few short hours we spent together, I can tell they have built not only a home, but also constructed a beautiful life. The warm smiles and excitement of their parents, the quiet, loving attention of her sister as they prepared, and the wide eyed delight of their wonderful son, were all evidence of the strong bonds of family that surround our beautiful bride and her handsome groom. We were so honored when Cathy and John placed their trust in us to host their wedding day! Living busy lives a few states away, meant that we planned everything online and didn’t meet until the big day itself! It touched my heart when Cathy smiled at the end of the day and told me “this was exactly the kind of day we wanted! We are not the kind of people who like to be the center of attention. We wanted something simple, with wonderful pictures, a special memory for our family”! I have to give a shout out to Cathy and John’s 4 year old son, who was the most amazing ring bearer ever – he was diligent and proud in his duties – I am sure I am not the first to predict that this little fella will break many a heart in the future – oh that sweet smile!!!! There were many special details to personalize this lovely wedding, including a special angel pin, to ensure that John’s late sister was a part of this special day, and purple flowers in her memory, because that was her favorite color. Cathy provided the sweetest cake cutting plates and forks (look for the tiny Mr. and Mrs. engraved on the cake forks!)
