Hannah and Daniel – Gorgeous Fall Wedding Day 9.29.18

There are so many parts of wedding planning that are wonderful – that first meeting with a sweet couple, or the excited phone call when they call to let me know they have chosen us as their venue! The big day itself, with all its hustle and bustle, the romance and laughter and happy tears. But I think the part that I might love best is the calm, quiet of the day-before-the-wedding. The Day Before, seems a lot like Christmas Eve to me (my most favorite day of the year!) where the anticipation of wonderful things to come is thick in the air. The reception room is all set up, the chairs perfectly aligned, and the napkins freshly pressed and the lights twinkling. We love welcoming our couple and showing them the special touches we have created for them. They usually come laden with bags and boxes and tupperware containers filled with wedding magic they have been carefully collecting or making by hand. The “day before” was extra, extra special with our Bride and Groom – Hannah and Daniel, because we were meeting in person for the very first time! Hannah had placed so much trust in us, and planned her wedding long distance from Florida, having never been to the GHI before. She may have briefly mentioned in one of our planning meetings that she “enjoyed being crafty”…but we simply had no idea the incredible amount of awesomeness, beauty and and attention to detail she was pouring into her wedding decor! As the boxes were unloaded and opened, it felt like Christmas indeed! So many beautiful details, almost too many to mention… Each sign you see below was hand built by Daniel and hand painted by Hannah – every one! The hand stitched place cards, the beautiful etched ring box, the little truck with the personalized plates, the mini pie display (guests were so delighted by this special treat awaiting them!), the list goes on and on. This wedding day was beautiful, and breezy and sunny – sheer perfection! One of the highlights of the ceremony was the sweetest reading of i like you by sandol stoddard warburg given by 8 year old Grady (son of the bride and groom) who did such a beautiful job. It was a day full of sweetness and humor – evidenced by the First Dance which morphed into the viral Baby Shark dance – it was epic! I could talk all day about how special this wedding was – how beautiful Hannah was in her gown, how Grady told everyone how beautiful his mom was (after getting a sneak peek before the ceremony), how sweet Daniel and Grady were helping each other get ready. And our very unique adventure in the mountains that will always make me smile when I think back on it! But I know you can’t wait to see the pictures and I can’t wait to share them with you!
