Rebecca and Tim – All Inclusive Virginia Elopement 4.4.19

A soulmate is someone who has locks that fit our keys, and keys
to fit our locks. When we feel safe enough to open the locks,
our truest selves step out and we can be completely and
honestly who we are; we can be loved for who we are and not
for who we’re pretending to be.

Excerpt from
The Bridge Across Forever by Richard Bach

This reading is beautiful, on it’s own, but when you learn that our Groom Tim is a locksmith…well then it ventures into “just darn PERFECT!” territory!  We shared to most perfect Spring Wedding Day with Rebecca and Tim!  They drove all the way from Kansas to be married at the Golden Horseshoe Inn (boy did that make us feel like superstars!).   This sweet, quiet couple simply adore each other.  You can tell just from looking at them how in love they are!  One of my favorite parts of the day was watching Tim gaze at Rebecca, and Rebecca gaze at Tim – TOO SWEET!!!  Rebecca and Tim brought a box full of meaningful items to help decorate their sweethearts table…antique camera’s, skeleton keys, favorite books!   It was a very special box too…handmade by Tim just prior to the wedding day.  They plan to fill it with mementos from their wedding day, and lock it up like a time capsule to open on a distant future anniversary (don’t you just love them already!).  Speaking of mementos…the letter pictured above – it’s the very first love letter that Tim wrote to Rebecca, I loved having the opportunity to photograph such a special treasure <3  Rebecca was a stunning bride.  She has ” Princess Rapunzel hair” as I took to calling it – just like a princess, it hangs all the way past her waist.  I know her stylist Tori had the best time working on such gorgeous hair!  Our Groom Tim was such a gentleman, I loved the tiny gestures throughout the day – the way he smiled when he looked at his bride…the way he helped her into and out of the car at each of our mountain stops.  Our mountain adventure yielded some truly gorgeous photos which I am so excited about!  The Blue Ridge Mountains definitely took a little getting used to, as our bride and groom are accustomed to the long flat stretches of Kansas!  Our assistant wedding planner Monique assured them “you’ll be in love with these mountains soon enough, and be sad to see them go”…I think she was right!  So…are you ready for some gorgeous moments from a very special wedding day…I can’t wait to share them with you…enjoy!

Congratulations to the happy couple from the entire GHI team!  Wishing you happiness always!

-xoxo Heather
