Simple and Elegant Virginia Wedding Day – Jennifer and Mark 6.23.19

Let me introduce you to the most amazing trio!  This is our gorgeous bride Jennifer, along with her sweet Groom Mark, and their faithful four legged companion Twain.  Twain came first…so when Mark appeared in Jennifer’s life a few moments after Midnight on a New Years Eve…well it seemed like a sign.

“Life is short, break the rules. Forgive quickly, kiss slowly. Love truly. Laugh uncontrollably and never regret anything that makes you smile.” – Mark Twain

After a chance meeting on New Year’s Eve, they exchanged phone numbers, but the last digit of Jennifer’s number never made it into Marks phone.  So when Mark’s buddy asked him if he’d called back the girl from New Years Eve, Mark explained the situation.  “What are you gonna do?” his friend Ed asked.  “Oh, don’t worry buddy, its covered…I’ve already texted everyone with that number and added a 0-9 to the end.  It was the zero that did it and a beautiful love story was born!  Jennifer and Mark planned an intimate, relaxing wedding surrounded by close family and friends.  They opted to do a first look (a special moment where bride and groom see each other for the first time in their wedding attire, prior to the ceremony) because a very special guest was coming to take pictures with them!  Jennifer knew that Twain would have been a little uncomfortable at a busy wedding, so a lovely neighbor brought him by for a special pre wedding photo shoot!  Twain is currently fighting a cancer diagnosis, so please send a little prayer his way.  He did a wonderful job with his pictures and looked so handsome in his bow tie!  Once Twain was all done, Jennifer and Mark and I headed up to Skyline Drive for a fun pre-wedding photo shoot!  The sky was the perfect blue and puffy clouds lazily sailed past us – it was gorgeous!  Jennifer and Mark decided to share their personal vows with each other during this time.  They felt it would be more personal to share their vows privately, and then say traditional vows during their wedding ceremony.  It was such a sweet moment and I was honored to be able to capture some photos for them!  A wonderful afternoon followed, filled with love and laughter, close friends and family, and of course CAKE!  Jennifer and Mark never ceased to surprise me, they are a couple with many talents – I feel like a learned something new and amazing about them every five minutes…It was a wonderful day spent with wonderful people!  I am so excited to share this special sneak peek of Jennifer and Mark’s wedding day!

Congratulations to the happy couple!

-xoxo Heather
