The Afternoon Tea Wedding Package allows couples to invite up to 24 guests to celebrate with them, or you may choose a smaller number of guests that feels right to you!  Each person age 2 and over who is attending the event (excluding the wedding couple themselves) is counted as a guest.  This includes parents, siblings, children, friends and bridal party members.  Babies under the age of 2 are not counted as guests. *should a couple prefer to provide their own officiant (rather than using the provided onsite officiant) that person and their plus one are not included in the guest count and are welcome to stay for the reception.

3. private dressing suite for each partner

A beautifully appointed dressing room is available for each partner on the second floor. Couples may arrive up to 3 hours ahead of their ceremony time to dress and prepare.  Brides are welcome to hire a hair and makeup team to meet them at the venue for hair and makeup services, or may choose to do their own hair and makeup. Each dressing suite includes a steamer, private restroom, and amenity cupboard filled with "uh-oh" items like safety pins, sewing kit, hairspray etc.  Each suite is tastefully decorated to make sure your "getting ready" photos are gorgeous and to provide a calm oasis as you prepare for the day ahead.

4. personalized ceremony & licensed officiant

Couples may choose to have an indoor or outdoor ceremony.  We will take care of all ceremony set up, including white padded wedding chairs, white carpet aisle runner, aisle decor and officiants podium.  Our on-site Licensed Virginia Wedding Officiant Monique is delighted to provide a ceremony tailored and customized to each couple's personal style and beliefs.  Both secular and religious ceremonies are welcomed.  Couples may also choose to provide their own officiant instead.  Your wedding planners are able to sign your wedding license to ensure your legal marriage, if you prefer to have a non-legal friend or family member preside over your ceremony.

5. professional photography

Gorgeous professional wedding photography is INCLUDED in the Afternoon Tea Wedding package.  This is an incredible opportunity to receive stunning photos without the stress and expense of finding and hiring an outside photographer.  Our photographer (and owner of Golden Horseshoe Weddings) Heather has photographed over 500 weddings and has the experience & expertise to help you feel comfortable in front of the camera.  Each couple is offered a complimentary blog post sneak peek of their wedding photos 72 hours after their wedding day, and receives their full gallery of high resolution downloadable images with print release, within 3 weeks of their wedding.  *all photos on this website and on our BLOG are examples of Heather's work.

6. Cake, flowers, Linens and Decor

A gorgeous two tier wedding cake is included with the Afternoon Tea Wedding package.  You'll do the special "cake cutting" together and then our staff will cut and serve the cake for your guests. You can read all about our cakes HERE.  Fresh seasonal flowers are also included in your package. Included are the Bridal bouquet, Groom's Boutonniere and fresh flowers to garnish your cake.  We are happy to customize floral needs for our LGBT+ couples.  Extra floral items may be added on for an additional fee as needed.  We offer 56 linen colors to choose from for your reception tables and have an amazing PROP INVENTORY where you can borrow extra details to enhance and customize the style and look of your event.

7. afternoon tea style reception

This afternoon wedding package includes the following light refreshments for your guests, and includes all glassware, flatware and dinnerware:
-lemonade, sweet tea, coffee and tea, cream and sweeteners, ice water
-cocktail hour snack plate for each guest including veggies, dip, cheese & crackers
-light refreshment plate for each guest including mini sandwich, mini pastries, scone, fresh seasonal fruit, mozzarella wrapped in Italian meats
-wedding cake
-couples may provide their own beer, wine and champagne if they wish
-the option to hire a caterer and serve a full meal is not available with this package, couples who would like to serve a full meal should choose our Boutique Wedding package
