Melissa and Joshua were the rays of sunshine we needed, after a very wet start to June! Our small community was heavily impacted by recent flooding, but we cleaned up in a hurry because we knew a wonderful wedding couple was on their way to us! Melissa and Joshua started off our summer wedding season in the most delightful way – and as we got to know them, we learned they are dog lovers – with two sweet fur “children” of their own – so of course we loved them even more! Melissa had her hair and make up done at the Bristles salon in nearby Charlottesville, and came in looking ready for a magazine cover – she was simply a stunning bride! We LOVED their wedding details – some of which were beautiful (those shoes!!! that veil!!!) and some were fun and playful (Joshua’s brand new wedding Converse and the special delivery note for his bride, that he slipped under the door of her dressing suite!!!). Mother nature even seemed to smile on us, and stopped the rain so we could enjoy an outdoor wedding ceremony and a trek around the grounds for some gorgeous photos (these two were naturals!!!) The wedding fun isn’t over yet either, these two newlyweds will be celebrating again at a special reception planned by our brides mom, and we hope all the guests will love seeing this little sneak peek from an absolutely wonderful day!
