Amanda and Owen – Nature inspired Wedding Day 9.22.18

2018-09-25_0020

Two little owls sat perched in their nest together, peering out from their vantage point, high atop the wedding cake!  Nearby, tidy bags of trail mix nestled in a basket ready for hungry passers by. These are the charming details you’ll find at a very special wedding when a Wildlife and Fisheries employee and a National Park Ranger get married!  Amanda and Owen had the most special day at the Golden Horseshoe Inn.  This bride and groom were so thoughtful, providing board games and having lunch delivered in for their wedding party before the festivities started. My own favorite memory is when the groomsmen turned the Gentlemen’s Dressing Suite into their own personal gaming parlor – when I opened the door it felt like I was stepping back in time to the origins of the Golden Horseshoe Inn back in 1827!  Across the hall in the Bride’s Dressing Suite, Amanda’s awesome and funny bridesmaids kept the music and dancing going nonstop – the most cheerful getting ready room ever!  Let’s talk about Amanda’s dress for a minute…Wedding dresses with sleeves are my personal favorite, so I was very excited to see the amazing vintage inspired gown Amanda had chosen – delicate lace sleeves and all!  She was the most beautiful bride, and she probably got tired of me asking her to twirl in her dress (I think you’ll be on my side when you see the twirling pictures though!)  We truly appreciated the amazing group of people gathered at this wedding day.  Many had traveled from as far as California (where a second reception will be held next week!) and every single guest was so fun to talk to, and so enthusiastic about the day’s festivities (thanks for being so awesome you guys!).  Without further ado, let me share just a few favorite moments from this very special wedding day…
