Shenandoah Wedding Venue Wendie & John 7.24.22

It has been so special planning with Wendie and John over the past year. I had the pleasure of working with them on their (chilly yet EPIC!) engagement photos back in March and now, in the sunny warmth of summer, we were reunited to celebrate their wedding day at the Golden Horseshoe Inn. It has been a joy to work with this special family, and especially to watch little Atticus grow over the year (I think he was just a few months old when I first met our bride and groom for their venue tour). Wendie is a natural glowing beauty who looked incredible in her lace gown, and her handsome groom John was looking very dapper in his suit. Wendie and John choose a simple and natural color scheme of ivory and clover green, and brought in their collection of antique candle holders to make a unique and lovely centerpiece for each table. John and Wendie chose to share a “first look” and then we travelled to the mountain top for some beautiful pictures before the wedding ceremony began. Back the at the venue, a personalized outdoor wedding ceremony was followed by cocktail hour, special pictures with family and friends on the grounds, and then we headed back into the a/c (yay!) and everyone enjoyed a unique and delicious dinner catered by Roots Natural Kitchen. Dinner was followed by cake, and dances and smore’s and we finished up the evening with a sparkler send off. It was such a lovely day, filled with so much love, and I am so excited to share this little sneak peek…
