Stefanie and Troy – Joyful Wedding Day! 5.5.18

If you’re from Pittsburgh, then you already know this…but if you’re not, let me share with you that when people in Pittsburgh come back from a wedding, the question is not “How was the wedding?” but rather, “How were the cookies?” A Cookie Table is a special PA tradition – and adds so much tradition, love and sweetness to a wedding day…a little taste of home, as it were. Stefanie and Troy had the most phenomenal cookie table for their May wedding day! And it got me thinking about Cookies… (I mean, I suppose I already think about cookies a fair bit, but this REALLY got me thinking about cookies)… about how beautiful it is to use your time and energy to create something special, with your own touches, and your own special recipe, for those that you love. Did I mention that Stefanie and Troy’s wedding day was FILLED with cookies – like, hundreds of them…all handmade by a friend of the family. Maybe that’s why this wedding day felt so darn sweet, and was so much fun, but truth be told, I think it was the people, as well as the cookies. Stefanie and Troy are a just a joy to be around. Not too serious, always smiling, lighthearted and ready to laugh and have a good time. They also truly appreciated the friends and family who joined them on this special day, and expressed that so beautifully! Just looking at these photos makes me smile, I hope it makes you smile too… (if you’d like to eat a cookie while you look at them, it’s ok by me!)
