Virginia Elopement Karen and Ted 2.12.22

We had the joy of celebrating Karen and Ted’s beautiful winter elopement this past weekend.  A color scheme of blue and burgundy was chosen by our beautiful bride and her handsome groom.  And Monique and I had fun decorating a special ceremony and reception space with those rich colors and some rustic accents chosen from our prop inventory.  On the morning of her wedding day, Karen enjoyed preparing in the bridal suite with help from some of our favorite hair and makeup providers.  When it was time, we gathered in the cozy front parlor for a fireside ceremony which was filled with emotion.  After photos on the grounds (it was a lovely warm January day!) we retreated inside for cake and champagne and a special first dance.  Our bride and groom made their exit amidst a swirl of bubbles on the front porch.  And we then made our way to the mountaintop for some beautiful photos at the close of the day.  Karen has been a ray of sunshine for us through the entire wedding planning process.  I always looked forward to her sweet and enthusiastic emails, and it was a delight to see this day finally come to life in such a beautiful and meaningful way.  I am so excited to share some favorite moments from this sweet winter wedding day…

Congratulations to the happy couple!

-xoxo Heather
