Alex and John were married at the Golden Horseshoe Inn on a beautiful spring day in the Blue ridge mountains. It was a day full of everything we could wish for. Joyful family and friends. The perfect blue sky, dotted with white clouds. A groom so in love with his bride, that he couldn’t wait to wear his wedding ring. A bride who was kind and funny, and was a vision of beauty in her gown. Our morning started with preparations in the bridal suite, including mimosas and lots of laughs. The gentlemen arrived from their nearby cabin later in the day, and everyone looked so dapper in their suits – the perfect summery beige with hints of pale pink! A beautiful personalized ceremony was completed in the most unique way…with the opening of a very special bottle of cognac that had been in the family for decades, and a group toast on the deck! Alex and John were so much fun to photograph, and we made sure to include a group photo with the personalized masks (made for the wedding before the mask mandate was lifted) so in years to come, our bride and groom can tell the story of their pandemic wedding! After some truly lovely speeches, cake and coffee were enjoyed by all. It was just enough fuel for a hearty bubble send off of the newlyweds! We dashed up to Skyline Drive, where beautiful blue skies, and drifting clouds awaited us. This was a day I wish we could relive again and again, and I hope these photos will help do just that. I am so excited to share a sneak peek of Alex and John’s gorgeous, intimate wedding day…
