Barbara and Allan Stylish Virginia Elopement 4.3.21

I’m not even sure where to begin, describing such a special day! We simply had no idea what was in store for us before we met Barbara and Allan on the morning of their beautiful wedding day. They are the most gorgeous, sweet and easy going couple. Photographing them was a dream come true, and when I offered to hang up Barbara’s gown, she smiled and said “oh, I’m not wearing a gown, I love pantsuits, and I have one in pure white for today”, well, I knew something special was about to happen. Because, people who aren’t afraid to be themselves, are always the best kind of people! I loved watching Barbara and her close friends get ready in the bridal suite, so much fun and laughter went on as they prepared. And not to be outdone, Allan and his friends enjoyed the beautiful weather outside, before it was finally time to get ready for the big event. It was a perfect, warm spring day. After a moving outdoor ceremony, including very sweet personal vows shared between bride and groom, and Zoomed to friends and family from near and far, including the brides family in Brazil, the couple took a little time to spend with their Zoom guests before we headed back outdoors for photos. After a wonderful time taking photos on the grounds of the Golden Horseshoe Inn, we retired inside for cake and champagne before sending off our couple in style, amidst a cloud of good wishes and bubbles.
