“Neither one of us are public speakers, and we didn’t want our wedding to feel like a performance…we wanted it to be intimate and just about us.”

I know that the sentiment above, so eloquently expressed by our bride Sarah, is shared by many couples.  Weddings can be tricky, and end up becoming about so many things except for the couple.  For a couple who aims to have a day just about them and the new path they are embarking on, an elopement can be the perfect option!  We shared the most wonderful wedding day with Sarah and Jordan..a day that was exactly what they wanted…relaxed, romantic, and just for them!  They have been planning this special day with us for almost a year!  As they shared the details of their amazing cliff top engagement in Ireland, and their upcoming epic honeymoon in New Zealand, I knew that the photos from their wedding day needed to be just as epic!  A mountain elopement package was the perfect choice for this amazing bride and groom!  A private ceremony, a sweet photo session on the grounds of the Golden Horseshoe Inn, were followed by cake and champagne, and then a trip to my own favorite cliff for some epic mountain wedding photos!

I loved Sarah’s wedding dress – gorgeous and fluttery with beautiful flowy sleeves!  Sarah discovered it on a special shopping trip with her mother and best friend in a Georgetown bridal shop.  Sarah and Jordan share a love of adventure, and of documenting their adventures as well!  I loved hearing about their life in Arlington, and Jordan’s new wide camera lens for the landscapes in New Zealand (I can’t wait to see his photos!) and their travel adventures!  And on the wedding day, they kept a little polaroid camera close at hand for the most adorable selfies ever!  They are the perfect pair, and such a fun couple to be around!  I loved how they wrote each other letters to read before the ceremony began – such a sweet moment for each of them, and Jordan said they each ended their letter with almost the exact same sentence!  I am so excited to share some of the special moments from their Blue Ridge mountain wedding day…
