Brooke & Kirk Blue Ridge Mountains Engagement

It was so much fun getting to know Brooke and Kirk a little better this weekend, when I had the joy of photographing the engagement photos for these high school sweethearts.  These cuties paired their wedding planning meeting (ps -the tabletop look they chose is SO GOOD! I can’t wait to see it on their wedding day!) with an engagement photo session.  It was the most wonderfully warm February day (although we still did shiver a little in the mountain winds) and we had fun adventuring to some of my favorites spots to capture this special time in their lives. The Blue Ridge Mountains were the perfect spot for these photos, as our soon-to-be Bride and Groom also got engaged in the mountains.  I loved hearing the story of their proposal, and of Kirk’s twin sister hiding in the bushes to capture the moment for her brother and also to make sure the proposal at Raven’s Roost wasn’t interrupted by hikers who were unaware of the special moment about to happen! These wintery shots will be such a fun contrast to their upcoming summer wedding photos.  These two are as fun and easygoing as they are gorgeous and I am so excited to share some favorite moments from Brooke and Kirk’s Shenandoah National Park engagement photos…

Congratulations Brooke and Kirk on your engagement!

We simply can’t wait for your wedding day.

-xoxo Heather
