We had the pleasure of hosting Jessica and Michael’s beautiful June wedding day this past weekend, and it was a day of delights, so much beauty and lots of love. Jess and Mike chose the perfect summer palette of cornflower blue and apricot, with pops of bright pink. Personalized ribbon wands, gorgeous peonies nestled in the bouquets and centerpieces, blue velvet shoes and monogramed cookies were just a few of the ways this sweet couple infused their wedding decor with color and charm. I had the good fortune to photograph Jessica and Michael’s engagement photos last year (you can see them HERE – they were EPIC!!!) and felt like we were already friends by the time their wedding day finally arrived. The mountains had more goodness in store for us, and we dashed up to the (very misty!) mountain top after a private “first look”, for some beautiful portraits prior to the wedding ceremony. Watching the mist move across the mountains, revealing the green valley behind, was a magical sight, and made for some truly unforgettable photographs! A beautiful wedding ceremony was conducted by bride’s Uncle Chris, and he did a lovely job. I have to say, that my favorite part of the ceremony was the love and adoration in the eyes of the father of the bride, as he walked his beloved daughter down the aisle (you’ll see what I’m talking about in the sneak peek below!). A delicious feast from Mission BBQ was followed by touching toasts, and lots of dancing. It was a day filled with everything we could have hoped for, and we miss Jessica and Michael already! They were so extremely sweet and thoughtful to work with, and just a gorgeous couple to photograph. I am so excited to share this little sneak peek of some favorite moments from this unforgettable Virginia wedding day…
