Vibrant Tea Party Wedding Amanda and Daniel 6.13.21

We had the incredible good fortune to be chosen to host Amanda and Daniel’s vibrant and charming afternoon tea wedding day! Amanda and Daniel decided to design a day around their love of color and their favorite pastime of playing board games as a family. Amanda and I planned everything together via email and a few phone calls, so I was very excited to meet her in person when the big day finally arrived. She was just as wonderful as I imagined, and a simply beautiful bride! A charming riot of beautiful colors – jade green, lavender and coral, were incorporated into the wedding decor via mismatched table linens, stacked teacup centerpieces, and a scattering of teal and coral dice (in an ode to our bride and grooms love of games!). When the guests started arriving dressed in their finest attire, and bedecked with fanciful hats, I knew this was going to be an unforgettable event! Upstairs in the dressing suite, our stunning bride Amanda was preparing with her mom, and daughter…including putting the finishing touches on a very unique LEGO bouquet for little Lilla to carry! Amanda is someone who is joyfully present, and seems to find a way to incorporate fun into everything she does. As we texted about music a few days before the wedding, Amanda told me “I think we’re going to dance down the aisle, instead of making it solemn and slow” – and so Pharell’s “Happy” was chosen as the bridal processional, and sure enough, Amanda and her daughter Lilla, twirled and danced their way down the wedding aisle. A beautiful ceremony was conducted by the sister of our Groom Daniel, and she did a lovely job – extra kudos too, to Melanie for timing the ceremony PERFECTLY, so that we finished and made our way indoors just moments before a rainstorm swept down from the mountains, and blessed this wedding day with a little extra good luck! Pastries galore, afternoon tea, and wedding cake awaited the assembled guests, along with a delightful choice of board games to play and enjoy. So much love and thought and planning went into this wedding day – and so many family members played a special part in their own way, helping to make this an amazing event.
