Intimate Virginia Wedding Venue – Katlynn and Scott 2.15.20

This was a simply magical day at the Golden Horseshoe Inn! We absolutely loved all the charming decor touches and all the sweet people involved in Katlynn and Scott’s elegant rustic wedding day! There is just something about a pale blue wedding taking place in the Blue Ridge mountains…it feels like the whole world has been painted to match the celebration – from the brilliant blue sky, to the shades of blue mountains that fade into the distance as far as the eye can see from the mountaintop. Katlynn and Scott envisioned an “elegant-rustic” wedding day and Asst. Wedding planner Monique and I joked together that, that seems to be our specialty! Katlynn and Scott interspersed items for our decor inventory with some of their own special treasures (a pretty wooden ring box, white ceramic antlers to add a rustic touch to their centerpieces, a wooden cake topper with their names) and it made for the most welcoming feel when you stepped into the building. We loved the joyful spirit of Maid of Honor Meredith and Best Man Michael! Both gave simply beautiful speeches during the reception and took the most impeccable care of the bride and groom. Meredith even set up a little (maybe not so little?!) breakfast buffet in the bridal suite, so everyone could munch on something as they prepared! One of my favorite things about this wedding was the way ALL the guests color coordinated to the wedding theme! This can be really had to pull off with a larger group, and is just another reason why I think intimate weddings are so special. Both our Bride Katlynn and Groom Scott have very loving families. It was really fun to witness all the joy on their faces during the ceremony and other special parts of the day (like when the entire family crowded into the window to watch the “first look” from afar!) There was just so much love and joy on this day and it was easily felt by all who attended. A special shout out to Katlynn’s younger brother Weston who did a wonderful job of escorting her down the aisle.
