Brooke and Dustin choose my favorite weekend of the year for their wedding day – the first weekend in November! I just love the quiet calm of November, and there is always still beautiful color adorning the mountains – a last hurrah courtesy of Mother Nature, before it all blows away in the November winds. This was a very special day with the most beautiful details! Brooke and Dustin outdid themselves with all the handmade signs for their wedding day, painstakingly creating each one together with a cricut machine. They provided guests with a magical day full of sweets and surprises! Brooke choose a very clean and simple color scheme of ivory accented with beautifully chosen details in burgundy and blush. The reception room looked absolutely heavenly! I adored Brooke’s wedding dress (all my favorite dresses have sleeves…hooray for sleeves on a wedding gown!) and she was simply breathtaking in it! After exchanging gifts (a lovely star chart of the celestial sky on their wedding day for the bride and a lovingly created scrapbook with a glittery surprise for the groom!) the couple had a sweet “first look” and then I whisked them away for a little mountain adventure. A beautiful ceremony took place that afternoon, with Brooke and her dad walking down the aisle to live guitar music. After the ceremony, in that beautiful late autumn glow, we took some incredible photos of the newly married bride and groom! Dinner was a divine feast provided by Blue Ridge Cafe, and the couple provided their own cake which featured 3 different flavor choices. Lots of laughter, dancing and merriment followed…both at the s’mores pit, and inside on the dance floor. It was the most glorious celebration for a very wonderful couple. Brooke and Dustin each have a matching tattoo of the coordinates of their first date in Shenandoah National Park, so how beautifully fitting and full circle, that they should return to the mountains for their wedding day! I am so excited to show you just a little glimpse of all the wonderful moments this special day included…
Congratulations to the happy couple!
