Katie and Jordan – Rustic Summer Wedding Day 7.21.18

The very best wedding days are the ones that fit the married couple like a glove…the ones where they haven’t tried to cram themselves into someone else’s idea of what a wedding should be, or adhere to old traditions that simply have no meaning to them. The very best wedding days are the ones where you look around in wonder and can’t help but see the Bride and Groom reflected in every detail. Last weekends wedding was like that… “oh my gosh, this is just so perfectly Katie and Jordan!” are the words that bounced around in my brain as I made my way through their wedding day! They are the sweetest, most relaxed, most effortlessly cool (they’ll laugh when they read this, because effortlessly cool people don’t even think of themselves that way 🙂 couple. And they did such an amazing job of making their day, well, Their Day! They arrived together that morning, with Katie jumping down from Jordan’s jeep with a bounce in her step. Together they took in all the decorations that had been prepared for their big day, and then disappeared upstairs hand in hand. There were no frantic screams of “close the door – don’t let the Groom see” – indeed, Jordan zipped up Katie’s dress for her, and she helped him with his boutonniere! Also, can we talk about Katie’s dress for a minute – OHMYGOSH sheer perfection – it had a collar – A COLLAR! – so beautiful, and a little bit retro and effortlessly cool – just like Katie! I honestly couldn’t stop taking their picture – I may have even climbed into a rose bush to get the perfect shot…you’ll understand when you see the photos below – these two are simply magical together. What an honor to be a part of their wedding day…
