Moon and Stars Elopement Ashley and Michael 10.17.21

My favorite kind of people, are the ones who are true to themselves.  So it is no wonder that I loved every moment spent with Ashley and Michael and their friends and family, during their incredible October elopement here at the Golden Horseshoe Inn.  This sweet couple had a clear and unique vision for their wedding day, a “dark, enchanted forest vibe” as Ashley described it to me, with moon and star accents scattered throughout.  Ashley was a STUNNING bride in her black gown and veil, and her dramatic crescent moon headpiece added even more drama!  A lovely outdoor ceremony was followed by photos on the grounds, and then we moved inside to enjoy a triple chocolate wedding cake (our favorite kind!).  After time spent with friends and family, we journeyed to the mountain top, and found it was an icy 46 degrees and super windy.  Our incredible bride and groom handled the weather with style, and we were able to get some of my favorite photos of the year…great job you two!  We then retreated into the forest, away from the strong winds on the cliff, to end our day with some romantic forest photos.  I am beyond excited to share some of my favorite photos from this amazing and unique Virginia elopement…

Congratulations to the newlyweds!

-xoxo Heather
