Rachel and Brandon – Gorgeous Summer Elopement 6.23.18

Something seemed strange with the sky…I squinted up at it, and realized that after what felt like days and days of rain…it was blue!  A beautiful blue sky, dotted with puffy white clouds greeted us on Rachel and Brandon’s wedding day!  I had been planning for about a month with our amazing bride and groom from afar.  I am always excited (and a little bit nervous) to meet couples for the very first time on their wedding day!  I feel a deep sense of gratitude, to those couples who trust us so completely with planning their day from a distance.  Rachel and Brandon met in the Navy,  and have traveled the world together by sea…visiting incredible places like Peru, Chile, Brazil, South Korea, Guam, Singapore and Hawaii, and couldn’t be a more perfect fit for one another!  They had started to plan a larger wedding and realized what they truly wanted was an intimate wedding experience.  We LOVED all the gorgeous details of their special day – sharing carefully chosen gifts with one another, saying a special prayer together before the ceremony, the beautiful wedding gown…and THAT VEIL…oh that veil…a photographer’s dream come true!  Even mother nature couldn’t resist stirring up a steady breeze to watch it dance in the wind.  We simply had the best time ever with Rachel and Brandon and Rachel’s mom and brother (who kept us entertained with his amazing stories and Mitchell even helped out as the “flower-dude” in lieu of a flower girl:-)  We know Brandon’s parents heart’s were with them as well, as a last minute illness prevented them from attending, and we kept their chairs out for the ceremony to give them a symbolic place of honor.  There was so much joy, and so many beautiful tender moments, we just can’t wait to share a few of our favorites from this simply wonderful day…
