As the gorgeous bride took her place at the altar, a hush fell over the gathered guests. The officiant looked up from his notes and cleared this throat. “The bride and groom don’t know I’m going to do this…” he said. And even from behind the camera lens, I thought to myself, “this is about to get really good…” I couldn’t wait to see what would happen next…
A whole lot of beauty.
Pastor Sharpe strolled up and down the aisle as he gently spoke to the bride and groom and the assembly.
“I want you both to look around at these faces, at the family who loves you” he said.
He explained that during their pre marriage counseling, he had gleaned the things that were most important to Mallory and Chris, and at the heart of everything – was family.
Isn’t that the way it should be?!
The ceremony had already begun so beautifully. But it was about to get even better…handwritten vows are my favorite, and Mallory and Chris had both penned eloquent, detailed promises to one another. It was fitting, too, that these beautiful promises about love and family, were shared underneath a wedding arbor built by the brides father. A special gift to them, which will find a home in their backyard and always remind them of this day!
There were so many beautiful moments on this day. I think my favorite (and probably everyone else’s too!) was during the ceremony, when Chris had finished his vows to his beautiful bride and then kneeled down to share vows with her son Noah. Trust me when I say there was not a dry eye in the house.
I can’t wait to share some of my favorite photos from this gorgeous wedding day…
Congratulations to the new Mr. and Mrs. from the entire GHI family!
