Skyline Drive Elopement Kaitlin and Joshua 10.3.20

Joshua and Kaitlin joined us on the prettiest autumn afternoon for their beautiful mountain elopement.  We are still oohing and ahhing over Kaitlin’s amazing style and gorgeous bridal look.  She is a list maker and a  detailed planner like me, so she had two dresses ready to go, and two gorgeous jackets to accessorize with…an incredible hand painted vintage jacket, and a fluffy white jacket that gave off 1940’s movie star vibes.  She was a beautiful bride both inside and out, and up in her dressing suite it felt like it was a bunch of old friends catching up, as we chatted and laughed along with Andrea and Alicia the hair and makeup team!  This sweet couple also provided lots of pretty details including an engraved wooden ring box, and a special tribute to their parents (they had their parents wedding photos burned onto wooden plaques and displayed near the sweethearts table – so sweet!) Joshua was as sweet as could be and we had lots of good laughs together.  Some of those laughs derived from two new photo experiences for us…a champagne shower that didn’t quite go as planned 🙂 and our first time doing photos with smoke bombs.   You’ll get to see a glimpse of the latter below!  After a wonderful afternoon which included a private wedding ceremony, cake and champagne and lots of incredible photos, we traveled to Skyline Drive for some more amazing mountain elopement photos.  The light had that special golden tone that makes the autumn so especially beautiful, and we took advantage of every moment until the sun finally dipped below the horizon.  I am so excited to share some favorite moments from this gorgeous Virginia mountain elopement…

Congratulations to the happy couple!

-xoxo Heather
