Skyline Drive Engagement Sara and James 11.14.21

Warm socks. Cozy Sweaters. A chilly breeze in the air. Oh, and a herd of tame deer. This was an unforgettable day! I was so excited to join Sara and James on Skyline Drive for their engagement photos. Little did we know that we’d have a few unexpected visitors joining us for the shoot! We hiked our way up to my favorite tree, and saw that it also seemed to be the favorite spot for a family of deer. They were completely unbothered by us, and made for a very special background! Sara wanted to make sure that her engagement photos would have a different look than her upcoming wedding photos next summer. I think we checked all the boxes…broody November sky, cozy fall colors, and a few moments where the sun peeked out from behind the thick clouds. These two are so wonderful together, and were total naturals in front of the camera. I loved the special sign they brought with them (handmade for them on etsy). I am so excited to share a little sneak peek for Sara and James of their engagement photo adventure…and can’t wait for their wedding day next year!
