Sweet Virginia Elopement Betty and Philip 9.20.20

We are very pleased to introduce you to the new Mr. and Mrs. Carter!  Betty and Philip were married on the most gorgeous September afternoon at the Golden Horseshoe Inn.  After the pandemic altered their plans for a larger celebration, our sweet Bride and Groom decided to wed in an intimate mountain elopement with just their parents present.  It was a calm, beautiful day, with room for quiet reflection. happy laughter and quality time spent together.  Betty was joined by her mom in the bridal suite, for time together and hair and makeup in preparation for the big day ahead.  Later on, Philip and his parents arrived and began their preparations as well.  I loved the personalized masks everyone had…you’ll get to see them below!  Betty and Philip chose a color scheme of blush and ivory, with touches of gold.  They provided a sweet gold cake topper, and engraved cake cutting set, as well as a pair of beautiful toasting glasses.  My favorite detail was the delicate wooden ring box used in the ceremony and engraved with the words “With This Ring” – so pretty!  Before their ceremony began, Betty and Philip exchanged letters and did a “first look” before heading downstairs where their ceremony awaited.  An outdoor ceremony was followed by pictures on the grounds, time to enjoy coffee and cake (Betty and Philip chose Carrot Cake!) with family and a fun trip to the mountain top for some beautifully epic photos (and a chance to show off Betty’s black leather jacket emblazoned with “Just Married” on the back!).  I am so very excited to share a little sneak peek from this simply perfect Virginia elopement…

Congratulations to the happy couple!

-xoxo Heather
