After a very short winter break, we started 2022 off in the most wonderful way, with Shannon and William’s New Year’s Day elopement. This young marine and his beautiful bride shared an intimate celebration with family as they started the new year on a grand new adventure! We didn’t get to meet Shannon and Will until their wedding day, and were able to plan with them remotely instead via email. This meant we were SO excited when the big day finally arrived and we were able to put faces to their names. Shannon was a stunning bride, and I could barely stop myself from having her “swish” her skirt all day, as it floated around her like a cloud when the wind caught it, or she moved through the venue. Will looked so handsome in his uniform, and was the most thoughtful and caring groom, treating his bride like a queen. He was so humble about his many accomplishments, and a delight to spend time with. An indoor ceremony by the fireplace was followed by a toast and photos on the grounds (the light rain stopped just in time for outdoor photos!) and then we headed back in to warm up with some good ole fashioned red velvet cake and sentimental first dance. A fun bubble send off concluded the festivities at the venue, and then Shannon, Will, our videographer Stephen and I headed up to the mountain top, just as the sun was making its early winter descent, to catch some beautiful (and patriotic!) photos for this sweet duo. I hope these photos will provide lots of smiles and fond memories for both bride and groom while Will is deployed, and am so excited to share a little sneak peek of some favorite moments from their beautiful elopement…
Congratulations to the happy couple!
