During Karina and Eric’s wedding, the Golden Horseshoe Inn was filled with the sounds of happy laughter and toasts. Glasses sloshed a little as they were raised in jubilant celebration after each of the heartfelt speeches by Best Man and Maid of Honor. I love days like this. Sometimes I think of our building as if it were a person, and I think days like this one, must make it very happy and content. Whenever I move into a new house, it never really feels like ours, until we’ve had a few celebrations in it…it doesn’t really matter what kind…a holiday like Christmas, or a birthday party…just something where family is gathered in love and good cheer! Happy times just feel like they “season” a house and turn it into a home. So I’d say we’ve been adding an awful lot of good cheer to the Golden Horseshoe Inn for many years now. Karina and Eric’s wedding was no exception. This couple was very special to us, as they chose us to host their wedding before they ever visited in person. They live in Texas (!) and came to Virginia to be married in the beautiful Blue Ridge Mountains. All of our planning was done long distance via email. It was so exciting to finally meet this wonderful Bride and Groom! We loved Karina’s gorgeous cowboy boots, hidden under her gown. And speaking of her gown..she made it herself! The final finishing touches weren’t complete until just before the wedding. I know this was a little stressful for Karina, but it gave me the opportunity to watch her hand crochet the final few embellishments for her dress and it was amazing to see! I loved spending time with Karina and Eric as we drove up to the mountaintop for some amazing wedding photos after their ceremony. They are sweet, and funny and super easygoing, simply perfect in every way! Scroll below so a little glimpse into this very wonderful wedding day…
Congratulations to the happy couple!
