Virginia Wedding Day – Jessica and Robert 7.13.19

Our Rose of Sharon bush has started to bloom this week and I was so excited to photograph our beautiful bride Jessica and her handsome groom Robert among its flowery branches! They were the best sports about nestling in the blooms, and well, honestly, about everything! During their mountain top photo shoot there was no hesitation as I proudly showed them my field of weeds and wildflowers, and they promptly posed among the tall grasses at my excited direction (I really love this grassy field, but I’m not gonna lie…it looks better on film than in person!) It is a beautiful feeling, and a big responsibility when a couple places this much trust in me! I love the opportunity to capture the spirit and flavor of each unique wedding day we host, and always fervently hope I have done it justice. Jessica and Rob made it easy! They are the kind of people you could hang out with all day. Jessica did an amazing job with her wedding planning. Most everything was already accomplished by the time we sat down to go over the wedding day details. The purple wisteria color Rob and Jess chose for their reception linens is my favorite, and it was so much fun to see the whole look of the wedding come together. Our sweet bride and groom provided some special details as well. A “star chart” guest book, featuring the constellation from their wedding day. A bridal bouquet made by a friend of the bride. Not one, but TWO wedding cakes, and some lavender cupcakes for good measure! Guests munched on a candy buffet as they waiting for the ceremony to begin. There were also chocolate covered espresso beans as a little nod to Rob’s love of coffee! The entire staff loved getting to know this amazing group – friends and family traveled from far and wide to join the couple on their big day!
