A small Virginia wedding with big heart – Danielle and Anthony 5.25.19

I met our bride Danielle for the first time when she arrived for her tour of the Golden Horseshoe Inn.  By the time her tour was finished, I felt like I had known her forever, and we just knew we would be working together to plan a wonderful (stress-free!) wedding day!  Danielle is such a kind soul, and wears her heart on her sleeve…she is sweet and open and honest, so she makes it easy to get to know her!  She was an amazing bride, and together, along with her incredible groom Anthony, we created a plan for the best day ever.  This past weekend, the big day finally arrived, and I think it was everything we had hoped for!  We joked that we had the most considerate weather forecast ever..beautiful sun, a soft breeze, and though it did storm a few times (and there may have been a tornado watch thrown in there…), it was only after we were done with photos or focused on an indoor activity – thanks Mother Nature!  Danielle looked like a princess on her wedding day and her handsome groom Anthony was the perfect compliment.  These two are amazing together, and it was such fun to spend time with them.  The same goes for their wonderful family and friends.  Isaac and Layla were the most fantastic ring bearer and flower girl.  Danielle and Anthony’s parents and step parents were so much fun to get to know, and we all enjoyed a special performance by Danielle’s stepdad on guitar during the cake cutting.   There were some special details at this wedding as well.  Anthony’s father, who has passed away, was included in the ceremony in the most lovely way, by draping his suit jacket over a chair at the ceremony.   And Danielle brought with her some vintage Skyline Drive / Shenandoah National Park entry tickets (.25 cents for the day!) that belonged to her grandparents, for me to use in detail photos.  I have to give a little shout out to the adorable wedding favors Danielle and Anthony chose…mason jar mugs with a personalized sticker.  (We use very similar mugs here at the GHI and guests always LOVE them!).  The mugs awaited each guest on the front porch, as they arrived at the venue, where they could be filled with pink lemonade that perfectly matched the blush pink wedding decor inside!  I love it when a plan comes together!  You can see all these special details included below.  I am so excited to share some favorite moments from this very special wedding day…

A big congratulations to the happy couple from the entire GHI Team!

-xoxo Heather
