A surprise Blue ridge mountains elopement – Mandy and Bryn 12.30.19

We thought our 2019 wedding season had come to a beautiful end, but December had one more surprise in store for us…a surprise elopement! Mandy and Bryn have had a whirlwind of a year, and decided to end it with a very special wedding day! With three days to prepare, it was all hands on deck! Mandy searched for the perfect dress in a size small enough to fit, her mom came to the rescue with last minute alterations, a license was obtained, and I went on a special mission to find purple carnations! Spoiler alert – it all turned out PERFECTLY! Mandy looked like a dream in her gown (and I’ll never forget the way the setting December sun lit up her veil and gown during the ceremony!). Bryn arrived with license in hand, and purple carnations were miraculously located! Why purple carnations? During their courtship, Bryn left a purple carnation on Mandy’s car during his lunch break, and as they say…the rest is history. I felt a special kinship with our bride and groom from the moment I met them. I have so many hopes and dreams for my little wedding business, and Mandy and Bryn are filled with the same kinds of hopes and dreams as they open their own law firm together. I am so excited about where their future will take them (and their beautiful baby boy James Kenneth) and can’t wait to follow their story and future successes!
