Tiny piece, after tiny piece, after tiny piece, Alyson and Cole worked together to create their unique wedding “guest book” a giant puzzle featuring a beautiful Compass, for their guests to sign. With mostly black pieces, it must have taken hours to complete, and when they were ready to add the final piece – it was missing, absolutely no where to be found. “We figure one of the cat’s ate it…” Alyson shared with a twinkle in her eye. Cole added, “we knew we wanted to get wedding tattoo’s but couldn’t decide on the right thing, until we saw the missing puzzle piece”. And that statement basically sums up the coolness of Alyson and Cole. They seem to take everything in stride, and somehow make it their own, creating a beautiful memory from even an imperfect situation.
We had been excited about hosting this wedding for months, because of all the neat ways our bride and groom found to make the day their own. No bridal flowers, Captain Crunch flavored Cupcakes (and a bunch of other tempting flavors) instead of a wedding cake, centerpieces featuring old records melted into bowls. And instead of a traditional dinner, Alyson and Cole hired a mobile pizza kitchen to come and prepare amazing pizza’s right onsite. But my very favorite detail….Alyson’s beautiful all black wedding outfit. To say that she shone would be an understatement, and hearing the guests gasp in delight when she and her dad walked down the aisle is one of my favorite memories of this amazing day. Let me share just a little sneak peek into this beautiful day for two beautiful people…
Congratulations to the newlyweds from the entire GHI family!
