Blue Ridge Wedding Venue Rayna and Doug 1.14.23

We had the honor of hosting a very special wedding day for Rayna and Doug. Our sweet couple chose a wintery color palette reminiscent of the Blue Ridge mountains in winter. Their color scheme of Serene Blue and evergreen was inspired by the bride’s daughter Eliana and her choice of bridesmaid dress! Wintery accents of pinecones (hand gathered by the bride and her son!) and evergreen peeked out from the brides bouquet and also in the centerpieces. Guests were welcomed into the venue not only with a steaming hot cup of apple cider but also a “Pennsylvania Cookie Table” which is a tradition from the Pittsburg area, where families celebrate special occasions with dozens of cookies provided for guests to enjoy and take home. Rayna and her mother Nancy baked dozens of beautiful cookies, some even shaped like a snow covered mountain! After a first look between our bride and groom, we braved (and I do mean braved!) the wintery mountains for some gorgeous photos on Skyline Drive. It was icy cold and windy, but Rayna and Doug were absolute superstars (they even stopped traffic with every passer by wanting to catch a special glimpse of the bride and groom) and we got some wonderful shots! Back at the venue, a lovely indoor ceremony was followed by dinner and merriment (the glow sticks were a HUGE hit with the younger guests!).
