I just loved the “and so the adventure begins”theme Mikelle and William chose for their wedding day! The beginning of their new adventure was reflected in countless pretty details throughout the Golden Horseshoe Inn. From the sweet pale blue suitcases, and gorgeous personalized sign at the front entry, to the tiny blue globes adorning each centerpiece, to the vintage postcards where guests could write their good wishes. Bill and Mikelle started their wedding weekend in style, arriving to our town a few days in advance and enjoying the woodsy charm of Lydia Mountain. On the morning of their wedding day, Mikelle was joined by her close friend Ashlin, who did a phenomenal job on bridal hair and makeup duties. Mikelle was a stunning bride even before she stepped into her fitted lace gown and sweet shoulder length veil. Our sweet couple exchanged beautiful gifts on the wedding morning. A string trio played beautifully as our bride made her entrance on the arm of her distinguished father. And this ceremony was extra meaningful, as it was officiated by the sister of the bride and brother in law of the groom. Mikellle and Bill incorporated a tree planting tradition into their wedding ceremony which was really unique, and allowed a chance for their respective children to become a part of the special moment as well! Mother Nature was in a cooperative mood on this long awaited day, and we were able to fit in all of our photos, and even a mountaintop adventure, before a storm came thru and provided a little extra dash of luck…as my dad always says “a wet knot is harder to untie than a dry knot!”. It was a magical day filled with good people, good memories and a great start to this big adventure called LOVE. I can’t wait to share some of my favorites moments in this sneak peek…
Congratulations to the happy couple!
