Virginia Summer Elopement Lilly and Matt 8.23.20

“Take my hand, and lead me to salvation.  Take my love, for love is everlasting.  And remember, the truth that once was spoken; to love another person is to see the face of God.”

We were so fortunate and honored to host Lilly and Matt’s beautiful elopement in the blue ridge mountains.  It was pure luck that we found ourselves about half way between upstate New York where the brides family lives, and Alabama where the groom’s family lives.  Both families “met in the middle” and celebrated this gorgeous wedding day in Virginia.  This was a day filled with the most wonderful emotions.  The Pride in mother of the bride April’s eyes as she helped her daughter get ready.  The Wonder in our groom Matt’s eyes as he saw his beautiful bride for the first time.   The Gratitude in Lilly’s eyes as she danced with each of her parents.  The Laughter in her brother’s eyes as they posed for a silly siblings photo.  There was so much to be thankful for on this very special wedding day!  We loved Lilly’s color scheme of peach, pink and ivory. We had fun creating a rustic sweethearts table, with wood accents and a touch of lace for the perfect rustic feel.  During the outdoor ceremony, both bride and groom shared meaningful personal vows with one another (it was a good thing Monique had tissues at the ready!), and our bride Lilly began hers with the wonderful quote above, from the musical Les Miserables.   And how could we host a Virginia wedding without showing off our mountains just a little!  At the conclusion of the event, both families returned to their airbnb cabin to start work on a feast (we hear April’s baked beans are LEGENDARY!) while Lilly and Matt took wedding photos on Skyline Drive.  It was the perfect conclusion to the most perfect day.  I am so excited to share some favorite images from this absolutely stunning, intimate Virginia elopement…

Congratulations to the newlyweds!
