We definitely needed more Kleenex. All the Kleenex. There were more happy tears at this wedding than I think I have ever seen 🙂 And that makes me happy (and a little teary!) too, because it means these people love each other so much. It is hard to watch your children grow, and turn into adults with lives of their own. And it is beautiful too. And wondrous, the way the circle of life keeps moving forward. I loved watching Bre’ and Kyle’s family and friends shower our sweet couple with love on their wedding day, as they stepped into the next chapter of their lives hand in hand. The whole day felt like the beginning of something very special, and in some ways, a little bit of a goodbye as well. To the way things used to be, to the childhoods of our bride and groom. Best Man Jake, and Maid of Honor Trellie both perfectly captured our sweet couple in their speeches. They spoke from the heart and filled the quiet reception room with love and memories. And when the father of the bride spoke, I am pretty sure there was not a dry eye in the house, as he recounted the first day he looked into his newborn daughter’s eyes and all the days that have followed since. Trust me, there was a lot of crying. And there was a lot of laughing too, and jokes, and big smiles…and candy. Bre’ and Kyle choose a color palette of ivory lace and accents of wisteria, sage and blush. The perfect colors for a Spring Wedding in the mountains! Our couple opted to provide their own wedding cake and bridal flowers, and we had the fun of creating a pastel themed Candy Buffet for their guests to enjoy. There was a soft breeze (that turned into a wild wind at the top of the mountain… no need to worry about making the veil float!) and warm sunshine, and lots of memories made on this day. I can’t wait to show you a few of my favorites…
Congratulations to the new Mr. and Mrs! Love from the entire GHI team!
