Peacock Themed Elopement Marissa & Anthony 7.20.20

We were swimming in a sparkling sea of teal and gold at Marissa and Anthony’s gorgeous, intimate, peacock inspired elopement! I adore events based around a theme (some past highlights include Wizard of Oz, Dr. Who, Alice in Wonderland and Halloween inspired weddings!) but this was our first Peacock inspired event and I was so excited to see all the delights our beautiful bride Marissa had been gathering and planning! A sparkly peacock sat guard over the gold welcome sign as guests made their way inside. Twin peacocks adorned the sweethearts table…they are actually antique perfume bottles! And a gorgeous feather bow tie and lapel pin for the groom, and peacock shoes and clutch for the bride kept all the special wedding attire on theme! Marissa was truly a princess bride, with a gown that seemed straight out of a fairy tale. After hair and makeup were finished, her mom and maid of honor helped her with finishing touches! And instead of carrying a traditional wedding bouquet, Marissa carried a feather fan! She was simply stunning! Big white clouds sailed through the sky during the outdoor ceremony, providing us with a cool breeze during the July heatwave we are experiencing here in Virginia. After gorgeous photos (and lots of twirling!) were complete, we happily dashed back into the air conditioning and enjoyed cake and lemonade, and a sparkling cider toast before some special dances took place. At the conclusion of the festivities, we took a trip to the mountaintop which provided some unforgettable photos for Marissa and Anthony.
