Romantic Virginia Elopement Melissa and Marcus 3.21.21

Our sweet bride Melissa and her handsome groom Marcus have known each other since middle school!  They dated all through high school and now, 8 years later, we were so thrilled to be hosting their intimate wedding day!  We planned exclusively online, which meant that our first time meeting this wonderful couple was on their wedding day itself.  As soon as I met them, I was so excited to take their photos!  Marcus and Melissa are the most gorgeous, quiet, down to earth couple, and were a stunning pair on their wedding day.  Marcus chose to honor his grandfather by wearing his tie, and a black cowboy hat.  And Melissa was the most radiant bride in her gown and veil.  I especially loved Melissa’s down to earth sense of style (there were some pretty comfy shoes hidden under that gorgeous dress – perfect for the walk through the forest we took and the mountain pictures we got to take later in the day!).  Our bride and groom opted for a cozy indoor ceremony next to the fireplace.  They each had the most beautiful wedding bands, and you’ll get to see some close up’s below!  Marcus’s ring is made with materials from a whisky barrel and a guitar string – a stunning and totally unique combination!  During our time planning, Melissa sent me an inspiration photo for the sweethearts table.  She went with a dark and romantic theme of black, burgundy and gold accents.  It was a lot of fun to set up and photograph, and my new flameless taper candles made their debut (they look so real!).  It was a pleasure and an honor to be a part of this special day, and I can’t wait to share this sneak peek with you…

Congratulations to the happy couple!

-xoxo Heather
