Sweet Autumn Elopement Lindsey & Dakota 10.2.20

“It’s a little mermaid reference” Lindsey explained when she sent in her final wedding script.  She was just sweetly making sure our officiant would end the wedding ceremony with “Now, go on and kiss the girl” instead of the traditional “you may kiss the bride”.  And that sort up sums up everything you need to know about Lindsey and Dakota in a nutshell!!!  Just like the characters in their favorite Disney movie, they are playful, fun-loving, adventurous, kind, big hearted, and so very, very much in love!  Their wedding was the most wonderful day, and the most fantastic start to our busiest month of the year.  Lindsey chose a color scheme of Burgundy and Ivory with some rustic accents to add to the mountain feel of their special day.  She and her groom Dakota made special gift baskets for each of their guests (I’m totally stealing this idea one day – the mix and match baskets looked so ADORABLE on the guest tables).  Their friends and family travelled from far and wide to be with this special couple on their wedding day and surrounded them with good wishes, good laughs and so much love.  Dakota had several sweet surprises in store for his beautiful bride, including a secret first dance, a special gift delivered to her dressing room, and a little Mermaid t-shirt hidden under his formal wear (and revealed with gusto during their mountain top photo shoot to Lindsey’s delight).  There was just so much beauty on this incredible day.  I am so excited to share some favorite images from this intimate Virginia elopement…

That’s right Dakota…go on and “kiss the girl”!  Congratulations to the happy couple!

-xoxo Heather
