Virginia Elopement Destiny and Adam 3.5.22

I think with the state of the world lately, my spirit has craved something full of love and beauty, and that is exactly what Destiny and Adam’s wedding day was – absolutely full of love and breathtaking beauty. I met this sweet couple for the first time on the morning of their wedding day, as we had planned together via email. I instantly adored them both, and was so excited for the day that awaited all of us. This early March wedding day greeted us with golden warmth and a gentle breeze, which were so welcome after the cold winter days of last month. Destiny was (basically a supermodel?) just so stunning in her gown. She enjoyed a special morning with her mom, as she was pampered by Dena from Posh Bride, who created a beautiful updo and glam makeup look for our bride. I had the best time photographing all the special details this couple provided, including a post wedding celebratory cigar (even Destiny joined in!), a ring featuring the groom’s family crest, and Destiny’s gorgeous wedding shoes with pearl closures. Although we had originally planned for an indoor ceremony, the day was so warm and glorious, we made the last minute decision to change to outdoors, and it was wonderful to shoot our first outdoor wedding of the season! Photos on the grounds (Destiny and Adam were both superstars!) were followed by cake, champagne and just the sweetest first dance (I thought their song was just perfect), before a bubble send off (featuring excellent and enthusiastic bubble blowing by the couple’s 4 guests!). Skyline Drive had some magic in store for us too, and we had the whole overlook to ourselves and a gentle wind that played with Destiny’s skirts for some truly romantic shots.
