Virginia Small Wedding Venue Amy and Jarrett 12.4.21

We celebrated the most magical Afternoon Tea Wedding day with Amy and Jarrett – our first wedding of December 2022, and what an amazing way to start the happiest month of the year!  Amy and Jarrett envisioned a day filled with twinkling lights, and blue and gold touches of holiday cheer.  “Warm, welcoming and cozy” were the words they used to describe the event they hoped to create.  And it all came to life so beautifully.  Each table was graced with a tiny white spruce tree, adorned with ornaments in their wedding colors of blue and gold.  The twinkling lights on the tiny trees echoed the twinkling lights hung in all the windows of our venue (we do love us some twinkle lights!!!).  Tea cups were filled with handmade conversation cards, with questions based on the Christmas traditions of each of the two families coming together for this special union.  Amy and Jarrett chose to get ready together, in the same dressing suite, and even celebrated a special toast together, for just the two of them.  We loved this relaxed, non traditional take on the wedding morning, and how carefree and easy it made the morning feel!  The three of us snuck away to Skyline Drive for some lovely photos (and we were all surprised by the warm temperatures even on the mountain top).  An outdoor ceremony was followed by a tea party style reception, and each guest was gifted with Amy’s homemade fig jam, and a delightful assortment of loose teas and honey sticks, all adorably packaged in the colors of the wedding day.  I have been excited about this wedding since the day we planned with Amy and Jarrett a few months ago, and to see it all come to life was so much fun.  I simply can’t wait to share some favorite photos from this incredible wedding celebration…

Congratulations to the newlyweds!

-xoxo Heather
