Afternoon Tea Wedding Carlie and John 11.28.21

Carlie and John celebrated a very special wedding day at the Golden Horseshoe Inn on a sunny late November afternoon.  I loved everything about this beautiful event, an afternoon tea full of delicate handmade details and tones of blush and deep blue.  Carlie was an absolutely gorgeous bride, with her curls pinned back with a floral comb, and a veil handmade for her by her sister.  She and her handsome groom John shared a private first look prior to the ceremony, and also spent a few quiet moments together to share personal vows between just the two of them.  An outdoor ceremony was followed by cozy time inside, with the fireplaces crackling, and sweets galore…including two pies handmade by the bride herself.  Carlie is not only a talented cook, but also a gifted artist.  She created many of the special details used to decorate the venue, including the adorable teapot centerpieces.  She also used her talent with ceramics and pottery to handmake the personalized clay tumblers each guest received as a favor, and the clay platter which served as a guest book.  It was so fun to see all these pieces we had discussed during our planning meeting, come to life on the big day!  Guests enjoyed time visiting together, tea party fare, and a festive sparkler send off, before adjourning to The Lafayette to continue their celebrations over dinner.  It was a day filled from start to finish with beautiful moments, and I can’t wait to share this little sneak peek…

Congratulations to the happy couple!

-xoxo Heather
