A Snowy Virginia Elopement Isabelle and Charles 2.19.21

I was so excited to meet our Bride Isabelle (and her sweet groom Charles too!).   Isabelle and Charles booked their elopement with us from afar, and we didn’t get to officially meet in person until their wedding day.  We planned details back and forth over email, and during the process I felt like we were already friends!  Isabelle and I have a lot in common (we are both from Canada originally! And I think her name is the most beautiful in the world…my oldest daughter is named Isabel 🙂 and both have a parent – or parents – in Isabelle’s case, who live in Canada.  We had certainly hoped the borders would be open for travel by the time Isabelle and Charles’ wedding day arrived, but even though her parents were not able to attend in person,  I hope they’ll get to experience this special day through these photos!  It was a chilly winter wedding day, with a sunny sky warming us from above, and snow crunching under our boots below!  Isabelle and Charles were joined by their children, and Charles’ mom and stepdad – a perfect intimate group, to celebrate a special day.  And we know Isabelle’s parents were celebrating with us from afar.  Our bride and groom chose a color scheme of Navy blue and Burgundy, just perfect for a winter wedding day.  Warm touches of gold accents made everything feel special and cozy!  A sweet indoor ceremony was followed by photos on the grounds (I loved the gorgeous faux fur jacket Isabelle brought to stay warm for her outdoor photos!) and time to celebrate as a family with cake and champagne and a special first dance.  This was such a lovely day to be a part of and I am so excited to share some favorite images from this very special wedding day…

Félicitations and congratulations to the happy couple!

-xoxo Heather
