A Wedding Filled with Christmas Cheer – Kimberly and John 12.7.19

If you are in need of some holiday cheer, oh boy, have you come to the right spot!  The Golden Horseshoe Inn was overflowing with the Christmas spirit (and so much love!) this past Saturday, as we celebrated the wedding of Kimberly and John.  You might be able to guess that Kimberly and John both LOVE everything about the holidays.  When they chose us last year as their wedding venue, we couldn’t help but get excited about the festive wedding day in our future, and after patiently waiting, the big day finally arrived!  Kimberly and John chose our “Mini Winter Wedding” package, but there was nothing small about this celebration, it was overflowing with personal touches, holiday decor and so much excitement!  As holiday tunes drifted from the speakers, guests filled their mugs with hot chocolate and deliberated on the perfect toppings at the cocoa station.  Meanwhile, upstairs in the dressing suits, Kimberly was joined by her mom and sister (who held what may have been our first “buttoning race” with Mom taking on the buttons on the back of the bridal gown, while the bride’s sister Sarah buttoned the sleeves 🙂  If you look closely below, you’ll see photos of the champion!  Our groom John was joined by his sweet mom and sister in the Groom’s suite and they both helped him get ready for the big event.  After a “first look” we had a little mountain adventure before the guests arrived for the ceremony.   The weather was simply perfect – chilly enough to feel wintry, but warm enough for lots of photos outside in the beautiful glow of the afternoon.  I enjoyed every moment of this amazing day – from the hand painted centerpieces, to the ceremony that didn’t leave a dry eye in the house, to the “ugly Christmas sweaters” that mysteriously appeared towards the end of the day 🙂  I am about as excited as a kid on Christmas eve, to share some favorite moments from this fantastic wedding day….

Congratulations (and Merry Christmas!) to the happy couple!

-xoxo Heather
