Blue Ridge Mountain Wedding Emily and Chris 3.11.23

We were so lucky to be able to host such a special wedding day for our bride Emily and her Groom Chris. This amazing couple has been BUSY this year – both graduating from Yale, and Emily giving her PhD dissertation (in neuro-science!) just a short time before her wedding day! This couple met on the basketball court at Yale during a pick up game, and have been inseparable almost ever since. We loved getting to plan with this organized and detail oriented couple, and seeing the day come to life just as we had hoped it would! Emily opted to work with her own florist and the result was dream-come-true beautiful! She even ordered some “photography flowers” so that I had some extra blooms to use in our flat lay detail shots. A first look was followed by a very windy and chilly mountain top photo shoot, but I think the results were worth it! And then we returned to the warmth of the Golden Horseshoe, where the fireplaces blazed and hot cider was waiting! A truly beautiful indoor ceremony was presided over by Emily’s brother in law, and I don’t think there was a dry eye in the house during the couples beautiful personal vows to one another. The intimate reception that followed was full of fun and dancing, a delicious meal and a rousing version of “the shoe game”. We ended the night with a sparkler send off.
