When our sweet bride Amanda emailed me her wedding details and said simply “I don’t have any particulars for my wedding bouquet, I’d just like it to “scream fall”!” – I knew I liked her! And when, on the wedding day, she shared that she and her handsome groom Gerald had know each other since the 7th grade, I knew how lucky I was to get to play a small part in such a beautiful love story! Amanda and Gerald were married in a beautiful private ceremony on a cool October mountain wedding day! These two are just so exceptional together, they seem like a fairy tale couple (don’t tell me you don’t see the Ariel / Prince Eric resemblance 🙂 Amanda had requested an “elegant rustic” look for their sweethearts table, and it was so much fun to pull out our antique mismatched china, and some sweet nods to the season, as I decorated a special table for them! After a private ceremony, with special personal vows spoken from the heart by both bride and groom, we celebrated with Champagne and Chocolate Cake! Amanda is a bride who was simply made to get married in October! Her striking red hair and beautiful gown with red accents made her look like the Queen of Autumn – I LOVED the way the red accents on her gown gave it an old fashioned / romantic / corset type feel! Gerald was the perfect groom, so thoughtful of his bride (carrying her train and helping her in and out of the car – such a gentleman!) He was so much fun to hang out with, so patient with photos and so handsome in his suit! The mountains were especially pretty on this gorgeous fall day and we got to take some incredible photos (and a selfie!) during our adventure to Skyline Drive. One of my favorite parts of the day, was the thoughtful way that both bride and groom kept their family up to date on the day’s events – with little “facebook updates” here and there throughout the excitement! I know there are lots of family and friends who can’t wait for a sneak peek of this incredible Virginia elopement – so get ready to share in some of our favorite moments from Amanda and Gerald’s fairy tale October elopement…
Congratulations to the newlyweds!
