We were so honored to host a very special wedding for our military couple Riley and Christopher. They traveled to us all the way from California, to be married in the beautiful Blue ridge mountains, surrounded by their close family. This wedding was a DREAM to photograph. There were so many pretty details, all inspired by a rustic, boho vibe. Our stunning bride Riley chose a simple color scheme of ivory and green with lots of additional touches of greenery to add a lush feel. Her coppery colored accents added a warm inviting feel to the reception space. We love that Riley and Chris chose an indoor ceremony, to make their vintage / boho ceremony idea come to life. They provided some additional throw rugs for the altar area, as well as a beautiful hand made cross that they plan to carve their names into, and share with future family members for special wedding days! Each guest was gifted with a jar of loose leaf tea (perfect for our Afternoon Tea Wedding theme) and there were so many tiny details to add charm, including engraved spoons, and an heirloom cake cutting set. At the conclusion of this special day, Riley, Chris and I got to spend a little extra time together during a mountain photoshoot and were absolutely delighted when we arrived at the mountain top to see it covered in tall white wildflowers (Queen Anne’s Lace?). It looked like the mountain had decorated itself perfectly to match Riley and Chris’s big day, and we were so excited to take photos with those blooms. I am bursting with excitement to share a little sneak peek of this absolutely gorgeous wedding day…
Congratulations to the happy couple!
