My very favorite part of this job is getting to be in the presence of radiant happiness. I’ve always been a little bit too empathetic…I absorb the feelings of those around me whether I want to or not. But on days like this one…days like Laura and Bill’s wedding day, the feeling of being in the presence of pure radiant happiness and joy, is such a gift, and a feeling like no other. You’ll see what I’m talking about below. You’ll see it in the way Bill looks at his bride. You’ll see it in the joy our bride Laura exudes in every photo. Her dress was simply beautiful. Her bouquet was a lush and gorgeous creation, with style and colors chosen to reflect the Caribbean wedding day Laura and Bill had originally planned, before Covid changed everything. The sweethearts table featured a slightly industrial feel, with rustic touches and embellished with amazing candle holders handcrafted by the bride and groom themselves. Laura reached out to her new father in law, a pastor, and asked him to write a special message for his son Bill on his wedding day. It was a moving and beautiful part of the ceremony and there wasn’t a dry eye in the house as our officiant Alan shared the special message on behalf of Bill’s father. Laura and Bill added their own twist to the “toast” and brought their favorite drink…Maker’s Mark on the rocks. We were able to capture some really special photos together, both on the grounds of the GHI and also in Shenandoah National Park. It was a dream of a day, with an incredible Bride and Groom. We are so thankful to have been part of this special day, and I simply can’t wait to share a little sneak peek…
